Senior Manager, Strategic Operations

We are thrilled to be looking for an enthusiastic Senior Manager to join our team working across multiple major events this summer including UCL Final in London, Euro 2024 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In this role you will be leading the development and delivery of digital products such as apps, portals and operational tools that will be used to implement our client’s hospitality programs. A strong visual and verbal communicator, you will be capable of presenting your work to both technical and non-specialist audiences.

This could be the perfect role for you if you are tech-minded, analytical and love finding innovative solutions to complex challenges. You are a real team player and have an interest in working with an international team. A love of sports is not a prerequisite but this could also be great opportunity for you to apply your personal interests and passions to your work.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and implementation of new feature-rich applications from start to finish
  • Source, vet and collaborate with technical partners and suppliers
  • Manage the safeguarding of client and guest data and oversee compliance with GDPR and data protection laws.
  • Establish best practices with the design and creation of operational solutions and processes that drive efficiency and strategically address key challenges.
  • Research and evaluate innovative new technology platforms for use and deployment
  • Develop and deliver presentations and case studies for internal and external stakeholders - including clients and senior business leaders
  • Translate complex findings into simple visualizations and recommendations
  • Review and audit processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
  • Training and managing junior staff in your team
  • Developing protocols for data processing
  • Training colleagues in how to input and extract data

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of data protection laws including GDPR
  • Strong project management skills
  • Previous experience with event technology
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (VBA, Macros and Queries)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to understand business needs
  • An understanding of data analysis techniques and ability to work with complex data sets

DESIRABLE

  • Programming capabilities (Python, JavaScript, SQL etc.)
  • Experience or knowledge of working with sponsorship properties (hospitality events or traditional event activations)
  • Enhancing the scalability and performance of existing database architecture
  • Database design, testing and monitoring
  • Performing database maintenance, migration, and upgrading hardware and software

Major events experience would be advantageous but not a prerequisite
