Account Director, Client Services (College Sports Sponsorships) (Home Improvement Client)
CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon’s client business and day-to-day management of client programs.
***The preferred location of this position will be working in our Atlanta, GA office location for a minimum of two days per week. However, we will also consider candidates working out of Octagon's Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, or the Los Angeles, CA offices.***
Are you a collaborative self-starter looking for your next opportunity as an agency lead helping to build a long-standing major college partnership program? We are looking for an Account Director to collaborate on strategic consulting, development, planning, and execution for our client’s major college partnerships. In this role, you’ll develop and implement marketing programs that support our client’s objectives and partnership rights.
The work you’ll do
- Leads and oversees the day-to-day of the client’s major college sponsorships
- Partner with internal specialty groups and spearhead the collaboration, planning, and development of all client programming to support the partnership
- Craft strategic recommendations for the sponsorship campaign that are relevant, rooted in fan behavior, and aligned with brand initiatives and the client's target audience
- Lead all aspects of the relationship with our key sponsorship partner(s) including the property and vendors, and be the key day-to-day point of contact on behalf of the client
- Lead delivery, management, and development of core sponsorship branding assets and integrations
- Build, manage, and track the program budget including monthly reports to the client
- Oversight and management of direct reports, while also supporting career development
- Other related duties/projects as reasonably assigned
- Travel to support client’s programming; includes non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends

Who we’re looking for
- 7-10 years of experience in the sponsorship and/or agency experience with prior people management experience
- Experience in event execution with a passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture
- A strategic problem solver with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to tackle problems optimally and independently
- A proactive self-starter who jumps into tasks with passion regardless of how big or small
- Outstanding project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within strict timelines
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours including weekend/holiday travel
- Willingness to travel to event sites throughout the U.S.
The base range for this position is $70,000 – 90,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
