Senior Project Manager - Integrated Marketing
PROJECT MANAGEMENT / Responsible for managing operations, resourcing, and project delivery for a fast-paced account team
***Our headquarters is located in Stamford, CT, but the location of this position can be flexible with a preference for working in one of our East Coast office locations - - Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, or Atlanta, GA. We will also consider a remote-based working arrangement for qualified candidates with East Coast working hours a prerequisite.
Octagon, the world’s premier global sports marketing agency, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its Project Management team in support of a new client.
Our next project manager will be familiar with project management processes, PM software programs, and have project management certification.
The right person will be client-facing and immediately project manage our client’s major college football sponsorship campaign across multiple channels in partnership with the lead integrator (TVC, paid media, experiential, owned social). Ultimately, the position will expand to other multi-channel campaigns: NHL, NCAA March Madness, MLB, and national and global soccer. Each program to be managed in collaboration with a lead integrator and our client’s designated project manager.
This position will operate as part of the Octagon team that is part of a unique Integrated Agency Team that operates in an open architecture and fluid system. All materials are shared openly and collaboration occurs daily among channels as they operate as One Team.
THE WORK YOU’LL DO
Project and Resource Management
- Assisting in development of timelines
- Creation of production schedules
- Creation of project management trackers (using Wrike and/or custom documents)
- Development of agendas
- Distributing and managing next steps and deliverables from channel leads to keep all team members on task and on time
- Run weekly team status meetings
- Update and distribute status tracker
- Work with integration lead to ensure that meeting notes and/or conference reports are distributed in a timely manner
- Monitor progress of projects to ensure proper support is provided to team members.
Additional Tasks
- Assist in onboarding process for new hires.
- Collaborate with peers in other teams (Experiences, Strategy, Creative, Client Services, etc.) on the design and execution of standard operating procedures.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 3-5 years of traditional project management experience, preferably in an agency (creative, digital, advertising, or marketing) setting, with a proven track record in project delivery for large brands
- Strong project leadership skills in addition to the fundamental understanding of the traditional marketing cycle from brief and conception through production to launch
- An initiative-taker who like being in control of projects
- Easy-going and likable, but cannot be pushed around
- Has the ability to create systems and processes and may even consider ‘Organization’ your middle name
- Ability to motivate team members to complete the work necessary to meet critical client demands
- Understanding of how to handle revenue, staffing and other resource management.
- Ability to work with operational partners and vendors to execute a multitude of projects
- Collaborative in nature with a “no job is too small” attitude to assist with overall duties and additional programs as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (in particular PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
The base range for this position is $60,000 – 70,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure, and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
