The Coordinator position in our Tennis division will provide you with hands-on experience in the day-to-day management of professional athletes and events. This is a great opportunity for the passionate, hard-working and focused individual who is interested in a career in sports. The position is based in our McLean, VA office.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Client Service:

  • Coordinate client travel arrangements
  • Respond to client inquiries and requests for assistance
  • Create and update client bios and client recruitment materials

Social Media/Website

  • Assist in the relaunch of Octagon Tennis social media accounts and then manage those accounts
  • Oversee and update the corporate website content as it relates to tennis
  • Assist in the development of social media content for clients as needed

Hospitality:

  • Assist in pre-US Open planning, working with hospitality clients in addition to assisting in the coordination of the overall US Open hotel system for clients and staff
  • Travel to New York to work on site at the US Open; includes working weekends, holidays and during non-traditional hours

Division Coordination:

  • Assist with legal requests for new agreements
  • Develop creative materials including recruiting and sponsorship decks, sizzle videos, and event invitations
  • Assist with business development projects to include researching potential endorsements, industry trends and other assigned projects
  • Assist with invoicing and verify the accuracy of any division invoices based on agreements and initiate vendor payments

Qualifications:

  • One year of prior work or internship experience
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Resourcefulness and a consistent track record of an intelligent and analytical approach to problem solving
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task proficiently and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work with a team and independently
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and market research tools
  • Knowledge of tennis
