THE JOB / Senior Account Executive, Luxury Automotive - Track Programs

EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.

Octagon is looking for a Senior Account Executive (SAE) to coordinate multiple elements for a large-scale national driving program for a luxury automotive client, traveling to different markets for multiple events across the country! The program will showcase the specialty performance line of the luxury automotive client’s vehicles through a combination of professional driving instruction on renowned racetracks in key US markets!

Events will take place from May - December on weekdays and weekends; travel days as well as off days are built into the schedule. The position will require travel, including working non-traditional hours during weekends, nights, and holidays, and may include assisting with the transport of the vehicle fleet.

  • Coordinate nationwide driving program in accordance to client goals for the calendar year, with emphasis on performance product line and track venues across the country
  • Assist in strategy ideation for annual planning process in partnership with client based on annual goals and historical KPI’s
  • Active participation in weekly client, internal and vendor/partner status calls
  • Maintain relationships and communication with various tracks nationwide as well as agency and vendor partners for program planning and execution
  • Collaborate agency partners and vendors as necessary to deliver electric-focused messaging
  • Create and handle program-wide budget including conceptualization and weekly tracking and reporting to program director and client(s)
  • Cross program financial management including agency invoicing, tracking and liaison with internal finance department
  • Create program staff schedule including full-time and limited term employees
  • Assist with key client relationships and creation of high-level deliverables
  • Other related duties as assigned
  • Schedule, train, and lead event product specialist teams
  • Development of program guides and training materials for staff and program partners
  • Develop key client relationships and responsible for execution upon deliverables
  • Support analysis and assessment of all program vendors
  • Serve as program lead onsite at select events
  • Other related duties as assigned

  • Have a passion for and expertise in sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity culture
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 1-2+ years agency/client experience
  • Automotive industry and/or mobile tour experience would be a plus
  • Ability to handle relationships with multiple internal/external partners (e.g. venues, vendors, suppliers, etc.) including event valuation, execution/management and metrics reporting
  • Effective leadership skills to lead and mentor full-time and limited-term program staff
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines, work under pressure, and manage portions of greater program budget
  • Excellent communication, writing, and client service skills
  • Excellent time management skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work weekends and nonstandard hours
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
